The Collective

The Collective is an emerging group of Bay Area musicians, sound engineers, and producers who collaborate to make and perform music together. It formed out of a desire to build an authentic community of artists who are invested in developing their craft. The members are currently working towards releasing at least one full length album a year. Outside of making music, The Collective also performs and organizes local events for artists to share their talent.

Jamey Williams (he/him)

Jamey Williams, the founder of The Collective, is a multidisciplinary artist from the San Francisco Bay Area who mainly focuses on music, theater, and spoken word poetry. Jamey is the first person to earn the title “Nicest Poet in the Country” after winning the compliment death match at the 2017 National Poetry Slam and in 2020 he was the runner up in America’s Best College Poet. In 2018, he was featured in a truth anti tobacco commercial which premiered at the Grammys. Currently, his art is centered around playwriting and releasing music every month for three years. Jamey is also well known in the Bay as an educator and community organizer.


JPeG (he/him)

Based in the eclectic heart of Oakland, California,  JPeG is a passionate music producer known for blending the warm, organic textures of guitar with the laid-back vibes of lo-fi music and rhythmic pulse of hip-hop beats. With a unique sound that effortlessly fuses genres, he creates immersive soundscapes that invite listeners to unwind and connect with the music. He is the owner of Brooklyn Basin Studios which is a hub of creativity for The Collective. 


Rain Storm (they/them)

Rain Storm is a singer / songwriter who loves working with other artists. They are a member of the Collab Choir and have sung with internationally known artists including: Goapele, Lyfe Jennings, Webbie, and LaRussell. You can usually find them around the Bay making lumpias, playing a ukulele, or passionately fighting for everyone’s right to exist without oppression. 



Mikayla Antoinette (she/her)

Mikayla Antoinette is an emerging R&B singer from San Francisco, known for her soulful voice and awe-inspiring performances. She has gained recognition for “F.L.O.O.D. Project” (released July 2024), a collaborative hip-hop album that pays homage to old school rap, and encourages positivity in POC communities that experience houselessness, violence, and discrimination. This album features some of the Bay Area's heaviest hitters in the rap game, including Stunnaman, MistahFab, and Yung Lott. She blends classic R&B with modern influences, creating a sound that resonates with a wide audience. 



AnonZ (he/him)

Everything he does, he does it excellently. AnonZ is a prolific rapper / singer whose Oakland roots and Houston upbringing inspired him to break outside the box and be unapologetically himself. His solidified love for Hip Hop is evident in his music which stands as a reflection of his soul. He crafts each story in captivating ways that allows his audience to better understand everything that makes him Z.


Rosetta (she/her)

A neo-soul / R&B artist and songwriter from New York with a unique funky sweet sound. Her music aims to touch the good, the bad, the mad, & sad souls that are just her to feel, heal and be seen. With music that finds its roots in her reality, authenticity and transparency she hopes her sound will ignite the tears, openness, and laughter in you. 



Papa Da Engineer (he/him)

Adam Nemzer, a.k.a. Papa Da Engineer is a producer, rapper, and sound engineer from the SF Bay Area. He is the owner and operator of Shuttermindz Studio. Papa is a prolific beat maker who frequently collaborates with other talented musicians in his community.



Aleja Ajela (she/they)

Aleja Ajela, the GOD CHILD, is a rapper, lyricist, singer, performing and recording artist home grown and locally sourced from San Francisco, California: creating auditory and sonic experiences to reflect her story and nurture the Bay Area’s cultural ecosystem.

Dorsey (they/them)

Dorsey is a queer artist and musician connecting art and technology. They graduated from Calarts with a focus in pop production and experimental tape music. They currently work as a freelance producer, recording, mixing and mastering engineer. Their practice continues to study the strange and whimsical through the exploration of video and audio tape, signal processing, modular synthesis, and video synthesis. 



Prosper247 (he/him)

Prosper247 is a West Coast conceived and raised, East Coast born rapper / poet known for his passionate, soulful and meaningful lyrics. He is also the founder of Tommy Lawton, a unique and unifying clothing brand that helps promote real change for the better. His debut feature on Scoop A Dolla’s Swerve Push arrived in February of 2025 and was quickly followed by 3 more featured releases. His much anticipated first track Connection will be coming soon.
